This year will go down in history for CC Sabathia

Carsten Charles “CC” Sabathia, Jr. is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball.

NEW YORK – This year will go down in history for CC Sabathia, the game the Yankees absolutely, unconditionally had to win to keep marching in the AL Championship Series 2017 came down to one man.

I knew it could be done, and I called it.  CC Sabathia downed the Astros in 4 innings, then the Yankees went to work.  The Bay-Area veteran pulled through like his real fans and love ones figured only he could.  We don’t even have to ask how hard it has been of a journey for CC Sabathia Jr,  playing for several major league rosters in a league where black pitchers are rare,  it seems he always has a lot more to prove when at the mound. With his contract up at the end of the season,  which way is up should not be the question, after last nights performance – the Yankees better resign the Bay-Area legend.

When it comes to those win-or-else moments in the postseason, CC Sabathia has become the Yankees’ soul-food. Everything feels better, now that the big lefty shook the Astros  8-1  in Game 3.  The ALCS 2017  Yankees’ victory in game 3 will be undermined due to who did it and how, some will poke and say it was just a courtesy to pacify the ticket buyers, or will CC SABATHIA JR. be the start of another miracle comeback.

Sabathia gave an utmost worthy performance, with very precise pitching. The veteran dominated the Astros for six innings,  giving up just three hits and hogging on their best hitters as if boys met MAN. Those big guns – George Springer, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa, the three who Luis Severino couldn’t snuff, the ones who ambushed Aroldis Chapman’s 100-mph stinger in Game 2 – who CC Sabathia left just 1-for-6 with two strikeouts.  So if you are an Yankee fan, lets please give a warm toast and appreciation for CC Sabathia.

Mensa has gone in the bag for vamping amid artistic reincarnations bond in discovering his selfhood. Live music is a $10B industry and growing.

Why We Support Addiction Recovery

Live music is a $10B industry and growing.

Ever since the near-collapse of the recording industry in the early 2000s, there has been a dramatic shift to artists & musicians making their primary income from their live performances. Industry trends predict a revenue increase of 20% by the end of the decade.

While that is great news and we like to believe that it’s all about the music, there is an undeniable truth that the live-performance industry revolves around the sale of alcohol. Whether it’s a large music festival or a small hotel bar, there is seldom a musical performance that is not within earshot of alcohol service. We believe that in order to truly support our musicians, it is essential to support addiction recovery.

Austin has so many great resources for addiction recovery and several with a specific focus on our musician population. Most notable among those is the SIMS Foundation, which offers mental health and addiction recovery services to Austin musicians, music industry professionals, and their families. We are partnered locally with SIMS and Gibson Guitar on the MusiCares® Sober Jam, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Read on to learn more about the Sober Jam and check out our feature video on

The MusiCares Sober Jam…

The MusiCares® Sober Jam is a showcase of courage.

On the last Monday of most months here in Austin, over 30 musicians take the stage at Gibson Guitar’s private showroom. For many of them it is their first time ever performing in public; for others it may be their first time ever performing sober. While many of the attendees are active in drug & alcohol recovery, the spirit of the event is to support musicians in overcoming stage fright and performance anxiety.

The event begins at 7pm with an Open Jam, allowing guests time to arrive, mingle and find their way to a seat. At 8pm, we transition to a seated listening room with open-mic-style performances (solo or with a band). For Brandon DeMaris, the Emcee of the event, it is incredibly moving to witness & support musicians who are facing their fears and embracing the vulnerability that is inherent to live performance, particularly without the buffer of drugs or alcohol.

Each event concludes with an unannounced “special guest performer” who has significant experience performing sober. Past special guests have included Matt the Electrician, Chris Gates, Nakia, Emily Wolfe, and Amy Cook, each with their own stories, music, and experiences to share.  What better note to end on than a living example of accomplished musicians.

But don’t just take our word for it, come join us!

Artist Spotlight: Emily Wolfe

Emily Wolfe is a hugely talented musician who almost lost her career and her life to alcohol. As her star continues to rise, she is transparent and generous in sharing her story of getting and staying sober. We caught up with her for a quick Q & A:

What has been biggest difference for you as an artist now that you are sober?

The biggest difference in being a sober artist is my energy level and drive. Instead of going to a dark place when an inevitable speed bump in my career pops up, I push through and try harder, and pivot to a solution when unexpected changes arise.

As your career continues to develop, you’ll be spending more time away from home.  Tell us about your support system.

What keeps me going is having a solid support system in the players of my rhythm section. There is temptation at every venue I play, but it really helps that my bassist and drummer have my back on the sobriety front. I’ve got some amazing and supportive people in my life. That on top of trying my best to flip the switch in my brain that says “drinking isn’t something you can do if you want to have a career in music.” The people around me really help me do that, especially my partner, Brittany.

What are you most looking forward to?

I’m most looking forward to a single release in the coming months. For the last year, I’ve been through some treacherous waters just trying to put music out. But I finally have something in the works and I believe it will be very special.

Watch and read more about Emily’s recovery in this gut-wrenching profile.

Nascar Team Owner Melissa Lebron Is Black: And Her Empire Is Growing

CEO of W. M. Stone Enterprises, Inc. Coutrá Music Group, Inc & E2 Northeast Motorsports, Inc.

Melissa Lebron is a woman of very high standard a loyalty.  She finds her footing in her faith in GOD, family, and friends, and getting to that bag.  There are no shorts taking when this lioness of Zion is marching forward, she is very decisive in her decision making and has a keen eye for the next investment to add to her already impressive portfolio.

Nascar has drastically changed over the years with more blacks seeming to be involved in not only the racing but ownership also. As of now, we are seeing the partial divider and maybe one-day we will see a Black figurehead have the full ownership of a Nascar team.  One step at a time.  But this is about the now,  I want the young men and women out there that read BAZILMUZIK.COM to know this woman, follow her journey and dare to dream as she has.

Melissa Lebron has seen limits and boundaries I am sure,  yet her drive and will to be something great and in all respects, a positive example for her 7 children, is I am sure on a bet, her main reason for striving as she does.

Alien Stripper claims Martians baby is iCizzles

Alien Stripper claims Martians baby is iCizzles

In a story from outer space. A stripper claims she gave birth to a maroon baby that is icizzles. It happened last year when source tells us that they saw the stripper and iCizzle at Denny’s getting a cup of coffee. The two sipped and flirted with each other for hours until it turned 11pm. A waiter at the Denny’s witnessed the two leaving walking hand in hand out of the restaurant. What happened next is speculation at this point. But we did add up the days and the date she gave birth to the martian son matches within days of the two getting coffee at Denny’s.

I guess we’ll have to wait for the DNA test on Maury to find out if it is indeed iCizzle’s Martian Son.
